Brochure Design in Bukama, Haut-Lomami, Democratic Republic of the Congo

Long documents depend on grid, typography and rhythm more than decoration. For a brochure design project connected to Bukama, Haut-Lomami, Democratic Republic of the Congo, the location is context; the actual design decisions come from the audience, content, brand and channel.

Design with a clear purpose

Editorial design needs to support changing content densities without breaking the system.

If the scope crosses disciplines, graphic design, web design, e-commerce design and video editing can be considered as connected parts of one communication system.

Start with the problem, not the style

References are most helpful when they explain what feels right about an example instead of asking for a copy.

From first direction to final files

Consolidated feedback makes revision easier to understand and prevents conflicting changes.

Building something reusable

A design system creates value when it can support the next campaign or content update too.

Designing for real screens

File size and image optimization are part of digital design quality.

A location-independent process

Location is usually less important than communication rhythm and clear expectations.

If the brand is changing at the same time, corporate identity design and digital outputs are easier to align when they share one direction.
